How to create a new article using Joomla 1.5.x
Below are the basic steps to create an article. These instructions assume that you already have a working knowledge of Joomla.
Some steps have a link to a more detailed lesson, if needed.

Step 1

(Your web site may differ)
Usually located in a menu on the left, selet the menu item "Site Admin" (Administrator or Staff Admin)
Some Web sites might have a link at the very bottom of the page.

Step 2

Enter your username and password to access the administration area.

Step 3a

Select the "Article Manager" button

Step 3b

Or choose the "Content Menu" and select "Article Manager"

Step 4

Select the "New" button

Step 5

1) Give the Article a Title
2) Choose a Section
3) Choose a Category

Step 6

1) Type the text
2) Format using the text editor.
